NB Black Summit

The New Brunswick Black Summit brings together leaders and organizations from across the province, Maritimes, and Canada to address systemic challenges facing Black and African-descent communities. Hosted by the New Brunswick African Association, Atlantic Equity and research Alliance (AEARA), BOTA NB, "Goals, Growth and Greatness", and Pure Gold, the summit focuses on key issues faced by People of African Descent in the Atlantic region, such as community on justice, immigration, housing and education. Through keynote speeches, workshops, and collaborative discussions, participants explored strategies for dismantling barriers and fostering a more equitable future in New Brunswick.

Our mission is to create an inclusive, thriving community where individuals can flourish. We focus on building partnerships with diverse groups, fostering allyship, and working closely with local, regional, and federal governments to support equitable opportunities for all.

We envision a society where substantive equality and belonging are foundational pillars. Through collaboration with communities, organizations, and governments, we strive to create meaningful opportunities that ensure everyone feels valued and included. Our goal is to dismantle systemic barriers, fostering an environment where individuals can fully participate and thrive. By modeling what is achievable together, we aim to build a future where belonging and equality drive lasting, transformative change for all.

We are committed to allyship, collaboration, and support in fostering inclusive and healthy communities. We work with local, regional, and federal governments, as well as decision-makers, to develop policies and gather data that drive sustainable, positive outcomes for the Atlantic region. By embracing belonging and equality, we model what can be achieved together, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to lead full, meaningful lives. Through these efforts, we strive to create lasting impact for future generations.
